Loevy & Loevy Names Gayle Horn and Tara Thompson Partners at the Firm

Loevy & Loevy is pleased to announce that Gayle Horn and Tara Thompson have been named partners at the firm.

Gayle Horn joined Loevy & Loevy in 2006 and concentrates her practice on wrongful convictions and police brutality. Her winning track record has earned her a reputation in the legal community as a zealous advocate for justice, and she has been selected as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers Magazine for 4 consecutive years (2011-2014).

Tara Thompson joined the firm in 2007 and was featured in the Chicago Tribune’s Remarkable Woman column in 2012 for her accomplishments at the Exoneration Project, a University of Chicago Law School clinic focused on freeing people who have been convicted of a crime they did not commit.  In addition to her work at the clinic, Tara has successfully litigated many civil rights cases involving police brutality and misconduct.

Loevy & Loevy was founded in 1997 by attorney Jon Loevy after he left the international law firm Sidley & Austin. From the beginning, the firm vowed only to take cases that fit with the desire to right wrongs for the victims of injustice. Loevy & Loevy applies this philosophy to cases in a variety of practice areas, including civil rights cases, class action suits, whistleblower claims, personal injury and commercial litigation. Today, the firm’s attorneys are widely recognized as being among the nation’s leading civil rights lawyers due to their accomplishments as trial attorneys—winning more than $250 million in verdicts and settlements for our clients.
