AI Fellow

Loevy + Loevy is a top-tier national law firm. We are leaders in civil rights, whistleblower, intellectual property, privacy, and transparency litigation.

We are accepting applications for an AI Fellow to join our work on behalf of content creators in intellectual property cases against AI companies, as well as other AI-accountability litigation. We are seeking applicants who have at least one to two years of legal experience (including clerkships). Candidates located in or willing to relocate to Chicago are preferred, but remote candidates will also be considered.

Requirements:

● Strong academic record

● Exceptional writing and communication skills

● Entrepreneurial mindset and self-starter

● Strong interest in artificial intelligence issues

● AI technical background is valued but not required

● IP experience is valued but not required

● Eager to handle contentious, high-stakes litigation as part of a lean team against armies of lawyers from the largest firms in the world

● Desire to find novel solutions to novel questions

● Team-oriented and positive contributor to firm culture

Job Duties:

The AI Fellow will participate in all aspects of litigation, including developing client relationships, conducting investigation and discovery, taking and defending depositions, working with experts, writing briefs and pleadings, developing litigation strategies, handling hearings and arguments, and actively participating in trial teams.

More Information about the Position:

We currently operate under a hybrid schedule, with the general expectation of being in the office at least four days per week.

The Fellowship is a two-year attorney position, and many of our previous Fellows in other practice groups (this is our first AI Fellowship) have continued at the firm after the completion of their Fellowship.

Compensation is $110,000 per year plus generous bonuses twice per year, with full benefits, including fully paid employee and dependent health coverage and life insurance, employer-funded HRA accounts, dental, vision and 401(k) plans, and generous time off.
