2026 Summer Associates

Loevy & Loevy is a nationally recognized litigation firm devoted to civil rights cases, including wrongful convictions, police shootings, and prisoners’ rights, as well as to other cases in the public interest, including whistleblower protection, digital privacy rights, and government transparency. We are one of the largest and most successful firms in our field, and we take multiple cases to trial each year in federal and state courts across the United States. Summer Associates form an important part of the Loevy & Loevy team each year.

We will begin accepting applications from 2Ls for our 2026 Summer Associate program on October 1, 2025. To apply, please send a cover letter, resume, transcript, list of references, and a writing sample to summerassociates@loevy.com. Candidates selected for interviews will be notified on a rolling basis.

Summer Associates at Loevy & Loevy have the opportunity to work on the full range of cases the firm handles. These include cases involving wrongful convictions, police shootings, prisoners’ rights, whistleblower protection, government transparency, and digital privacy rights. Summer Associates learn by working closely with experienced attorneys throughout the summer. They are given meaningful, substantive legal work, and they participate in a wide range of litigation activities across our practice areas. Typical assignments include drafting briefs and motions, as well as assisting with depositions, case investigations, witness interviews, hearings, and trials.

The ideal candidate is a person who is hardworking and is passionate about civil rights and social justice. Strong writing and research skills, and an ability to work efficiently, are essential.

Loevy & Loevy is an equal opportunity employer. We value a diverse and inclusive culture. We welcome Summer Associate applications from first-generation law students and students with prior criminal convictions. We strongly encourage applications from qualified individuals of any race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, veteran’s status, or national origin.
