Biography

Aadi Tolappa joined Loevy & Loevy in 2025 as a Justice Fellow. Aadi earned his J.D. from New York University School of Law in 2022. During law school, he worked as a student fellow at the Zimroth Center on the Administration of Criminal Law. There, he investigated state furlough powers as a tool for decarceration during the COVID-19 pandemic and reviewed exonerees’ case files for prosecutorial misconduct. Aadi also served as an editor for the New York University Law Review.

Prior to joining Loevy, Aadi clerked for Judge Rachel Bloomekatz on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and Judge Patti B. Saris on the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. He also worked as an associate at Williams & Connolly in Washington, D.C.

Before he became a lawyer, Aadi worked as a teacher and (briefly) as the school principal at a middle school on Chicago’s South Side. He holds a master’s degree in teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education and a bachelor’s degree in cognitive science from Yale College.
