Loevy & Loevy is a top tier national civil rights law firm. We are leaders in civil rights, whistleblower and False Claims Act, privacy, and transparency cases.

The Whistleblower Fellowship offers standout practicing attorneys and judicial law clerks an unparalleled opportunity to work on trial and appellate litigation with a top tier national whistleblower law firm. Our Fellows participate in all aspects of our Whistleblower practice.  We pursue cases on behalf of whistleblowers under the federal False Claims Act. These “qui tam” cases allow private individuals to blow the whistle on fraud against the government. Our firm has successfully pursued cases against defendants that engaged in defense contracting fraud, healthcare fraud, bid rigging, MBE/DBE fraud, antitrust fraud, and other types of misconduct. In addition to actions under the False Claims Act, we represent people who blow the whistle on securities fraud and tax fraud.

Our work in this area seeks to achieve justice by holding fraudsters – often large, sophisticated corporations – to account when they lie, cheat, and steal. Our Fellows support this work at all stages. Fellows participate in Loevy & Loevy’s trial teams, take depositions of defendants and third-party witnesses, write briefs and pleadings and participate in all aspects of discovery and case investigation.

Fellows typically commit to a two-year term, and many of our previous Fellows have continued at the firm thereafter. Compensation is $100,000 per year plus bonuses, with full benefits including fully-paid employee and dependent health coverage and life insurance, employer funded HRA accounts, and dental, vision and 401(k) plans, and generous time off.

The Fellowship is designed for lawyers less than 5 years out of law school. Preference will be given to applicants who have completed judicial clerkships, have whistleblower or complex litigation experience, have public-interest fellowships involving government accountability or fraud, and to those with a keen interest in trial practice, stellar academic records, and a sustained interest in fighting for justice. A demonstrated commitment to public interest law, civil rights, or government accountability is important.

We strongly encourage applications from all qualified individuals regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, veteran’s status, or national origin.
