Loevy & Loevy, a nationally-recognized civil rights and whistleblower protection law firm with approximately 35 attorneys and a national reputation for litigation success, is currently accepting applications for an associate attorney position. Our cases cover a wide range of matters relating to wrongful convictions, qui tam litigation, constitutional cases, prisoners’ rights and detainee litigation, and policy-changing cases and class actions.

We are looking for legal professionals who share our passion for justice and our enthusiasm for working as part of close knit teams. Our lawyers work hard and feel a deep satisfaction in giving a voice to those who might otherwise be powerless.

Frequent trials, lean staffing, and an ambitious case load offer unparalleled opportunities to take advantage of litigation skills. All attorneys are deeply immersed in litigation from day one, going to court, arguing motions, taking depositions, writing legal briefs, and trying cases. Candidates must therefore be able to run their own cases with minimal supervision, collaborating with colleagues as appropriate.

Candidates must have at least three years of litigation experience, preferably with some experience working on civil rights cases. Candidates must also have superior academic credentials and will preferably have completed a judicial clerkship.

This position is based in Chicago, with some travel as needed for your cases. Pay is commensurate with experience.

Loevy & Loevy is an equal opportunity employer. We value diversity and an inclusive culture. We welcome applications from first-generation professionals. We strongly encourage applications from all qualified individuals regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, veteran’s status, or national origin.

To apply, please email a cover letter and resume to hiring@loevy.com.
