Following law school, Pier represented indigent defendants in criminal and juvenile delinquency proceedings as a staff attorney at the Guam Alternate Public Defender. As a public defender, Pier successfully challenged the constitutionality of Guam's juvenile curfew law on behalf of a client charged with violating that law.
Pier joined Loevy and Loevy in 2010, where her practice focuses on police misconduct, including false arrest, wrongful conviction, and excessive force cases. She is admitted to practice in Illinois, Washington State, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Northern District of Illinois, and the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.
